A Cause Close to My Heart
As many of you know, in January of 2012 my sister Destiny suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI for short) during an ATV outing. She wore a helmet, and took all reasonable safety precautions -- but unfortunately it wasn't enough.
I'm happy to say that Des is doing great! Her recovery was quite remarkable, and my family and I are very lucky to have her with us today.
When she was injured, she was sent to a myriad of different hospitals, but eventually wound up in Craig Hospital. I visited on a regular basis and during her care I was amazed and overjoyed at the compassion that the hospital staff had. They did everything in their power to ensure her recovery went smoothly, and to let her be as comfortable as possible during the process.
It was an incredible thing to witness.
For all the great things Craig Hospital has done to help Destiny, and all of their other patients, I've kicked things off with a small donation myself. I would be stoked and grateful for any additional support we can get!
