Welcome to my P4P page! I'm riding for a reason!
Hello Family and Friends,
I'm riding in Pedal 4 Possible on September 14th to support Craig Hospital, this will be my third year to particiate. Last year I participated and rode the century (102.8 miles), this year i am riding the 50K course.
Craig Hospital is a world-renowned, premier center for specialty rehabilitation & research for people with spinal cord injury & traumatic brain injury.
Craig Hospital is a special place & if you've ever interacted with a former patient or been to the campus, you know this is true. Craig goes above & beyond the typical rehabilitation therapies to meet each need of a patient & give them the tools & resource necessary to achieve independence following an injury. Programs such as adaptive driving, therapeutic recreation, patient & family services are just a few of the extra offerings that Craig Hospital has & these are most often not covered by insurance.
My brother Jerry spent 90 days at Craig due to his anoxic brain injury & I was with him daily for 12-14 hours a day. I witnessed first hand how amazing the entire staff is & the incredible work they do with the patients. I met many patients at Craig during the 90 days that Jerry was there & it was moving to see their progress as well as Jerry’s. I am riding for my brother Jerry as well as all the other patients that I met at Craig. Many of you know Pete Ehmann from Darby Montana. I have known Pete since his family moved to the Bitterroot in the early 80’s. Pete spent 8 months at Craig after an accident on their family ranch, which left him a quadriplegic. Coincidentally Pete & Jerry's time at Craig overlapped. What are the chances that two men that grew up in Darby Montana would be patients at Craig Hospital at the same time.
The hospital needs donations to pay for innovative programming not covered by insurance companies, yet is vital to patients' health & independence over a lifetime.
As a private, non-profit rehabilitation facility, Craig Hospital relies on donations to maintain its excellence in helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes. Make your donation today to support patients at Craig Hospital.
Thank you for your support!
