Why I will "Pedal4Possible!" - And what is the effort worth?
Dear Friends & Family -
I humbly ask for your support in my fund raising efforts for Craig Hospital's "Pedal4Possible" cycling event.
What's my motivation to Participate? Our family has been directly impacted by the work at Craig Hospital.
My sister-in-law Sarah Voller, who also has a passion for two wheel pursuits, has been a patient at Craig Hospital. Twice.
Our family has experienced first hand the care, attention and results people like Sarah receive at Craig.
Her progress to recovery has of course been challenging, but the patient persistance, encouragment and skill of the staff at Craig have made miracles happen for her.
I've never thought of what riding is worth, beyond the intrinsic values of fresh air, great scenery, a fun way to be with friends & making new acquaintances. The personal benefits are tough to place a value on in terms of dollars & cents.
But For "Pedal4Possible" - I've set my "value" at a minimum of $5 dollars per mile of effort - Biking 100 miles (aka a "Century Ride"), that means my total goal is $500.
So when deciding on a contribution, ask yourself, "What value is an effort like this worth?" Any amount donated will be much appreciated! Note: anyone contributing $100 or more will be hosted on a "Pedal & Coffee Tour" by yours truly.
I count myself lucky . . . having biked many, many miles for commuting, touring and just the pure pleasure of pedaling in the great outdoors of Colorado.
Join me in this opportunity to take biking to another level, making a difference with a day of "Pedal4Possible".
