Dear Family & Friends,
As most of you know on December 22, 2019 my Dad, Samuel B. Casey (aka Bubs), was struck by a motor vechile from behind while riding his road bike on the country roads of Waxhaw, NC. It has been nearly 9 months since his comeback began. In this accident Bubs sustained a Severe Traumtic Brain Injury & 4 broken ribs.
What a journey this has been so far. It would have been infinitely harder without all your love, care, support and prayers.
Our community has held us up when we were down, fed us, prayed over us, donated time, talent and treasure. You have seen us at our best and worst. As the people of Hope we must pedal forward. We must believe in what is possible.
On Saturday, September 14, 2019 we Pedal4Possible #P4P19. This is a bike ride to support Craig Hospital where Bubs has been receiving world-class therapy and care for his traumtic brain injury (TBI). Craig is a world-renowned, premier center for specialty rehabilitation and research for people with spinal cord and brain injury.
WHY WE RIDE:
1. Raise an additional 30k for Sam & Jill Casey's continuing medical needs going forward
2. Raise awareness & money for the amazing work Craig Hospital does
3. Raise awareness for cyclist safety & the dangers of distracted driving
4. Bubs has always been about being on the Team. Come show your support for the guy that is always supporting all of us
