About Craig and the Craig FoundationBHN_Rehab.png

Craig is a world-renowned, 93-bed, private, nonprofit rehabilitation hospital and research center that specializes in the care of people who have sustained a spinal cord and/or a brain injury. Craig provides a comprehensive system of inpatient and outpatient medical care, rehabilitation, neurosurgical rehabilitative care, and long-term follow-up services. Half of Craig's patients come from outside of Colorado. Craig has been ranked as a top 10 rehabilitation center by U.S. News and World Report consecutively since 1990.

Craig advocates for and provides exceptional patient and family centered care for those affected by spinal cord and brain injury. Together we bravely strive for optimal health, independence and life quality with unyielding determination.

The Craig Foundation supports Craig Hospital in achieving its goals through philanthropy. Operating in accordance with the philosophy of Craig, the Foundation builds lifelong relationships with contributors, raises funds and dedicates its resources to further advance the needs of Craig and those it serves. Guided by a dedicated and civic-minded board of directors, the Craig Foundation offers members of the community a number of meaningful ways to support the hospital's work helping people rebuild their lives.

2019 Pedal 4 Possible-217_edited.jpgPedal 4 Possible History and Background

Craig's Therapeutic Recreation department started Pedal 4 Possible in 2015 to raise money for Craig Hospital.  Funds raised through the Pedal 4 Possible ride benefit the Craig Foundation's Culture of Care programs. These innovative donor-funded programs are not reimbursed by insurance companies, but are vital to patients' health and independence over a lifetime. The programs include Therapeutic Recreation, Music Therapy, Community Reintegration, Assistive Technology, the school program, and more.

Pedal 4 Possible grew out of a grassroots bike ride called Jam the Damz that was held for several years in Morrison. Jam the Damz raised funds for three Colorado adaptive recreation programs: Adaptive Adventures, Craig Hospital, and U.S. Handcycling.

Following reorganization within the partner nonprofits, Craig chose to take the event in-house and organize its own charity ride. This event nicely complements the Foundation's existing roster of events, allowing participation by a diverse set of riders, donors, and volunteers.
